Current

My clinical interests include robotic surgery, inflammatory bowel disease (IBD), advanced endoscopy and abdominal sarcomas and rare tumours. I have a strong academic background and I have dedicated research time in the form of a NRS career research fellowship. I have been awarded the prestigious Hunterian Professorship and Syme Medal for my translational research. My scientific research interests are inflammatory bowel disease, epigenetics and DNA methylation. My clinical research interests include IBD, enhanced recovery after surgery and colorectal polyp cancers.

I am a father of two children who keep me very busy, but also find some time to enjoy music and sports (watching and participating).
