Chris Johnston

Chris was appointed as a consultant surgeon in September 2020. His clinical practice includes liver transplantation, novel organ perfusion technologies (Normothermic Regional Perfusion & Organox), general surgery and advanced endoscopy (ERCP & EUS).

Appointments and Activities

Following undergraduate studies and postgraduate foundation training in London, Chris moved to Edinburgh for specialty training in general surgery in 2009. He was subsequently appointed to a Wellcome-funded (ECAT) PhD fellowship in 2012. Chris re-entered higher surgical training as a clinical lecturer in 2015.
