Project Title

Development of a Novel Survival Benefit Model for Patients with End Stage Renal Failure.

Project Summary

This PhD project is part of the UK multicentre study ATTOM (Access to Transplantation and Transplant Outcome Measures). Currently the selection criteria for renal transplantation varies widely between centres in the UK, which has led to concerns over inequity in access to this life-prolonging treatment. We aim to develop a novel survival prediction tool in order to facilitate a more evidence-based and standardised selection process for renal transplantation. This data will also be used in conjunction with quality of life and cost-effectiveness data to model alternative organ allocation schemes.
