Hepatobiliary and Pancreatic Unit

We offer a full range of hepatobiliary, pancreatic, endoscopic, radiological and surgical interventions.

The Hepatobiliary and Pancreatic (HPB) Unit has provided a tertiary referral service for the management of complex HPB disease since 1988.

Location

This service runs from a single site based at the Royal Infirmary of Edinburgh.

Sixty beds are located in the General Surgical Unit based in Wards 106/107. There are also beds in the Surgical Day Case Unit, High Dependency Unit and Intensive Therapy Unit.

Outpatients are seen in Outpatient Department Four (OPD4).

Team members

Our team consists of Consultant Surgeons, Registrars, Nurses and Support staff.
