About

I have a broad practice covering emergency general and specialist colorectal surgery and elective colorectal surgery including colorectal cancer, diverticular disease, inflammatory bowel disease and general proctology. I was awarded two RCS Senior Fellowships covering advanced colorectal cancer and robotic surgery in addition to valuable travelling fellowships in world-leading colorectal and robotic centres, including Philadelphia, Shizuoka (Japan), Amsterdam and Leuven (Belgium). I have full JAG accreditation in upper and lower-GI endoscopy with experience in therapeutic endoscopy. In addition to my clinical practice, I have an active research portfolio, including the investigation of vitamin D effects in colorectal cancer, regularly teach on robotic and surgical skills courses and am Associate Editor of the British Journal of Surgery.
