Project Summary

Chronic allograft rejection is a significant problem following renal transplant. Macrophages play a key role in its development. The gold standard for diagnosis is a renal biopsy. Renal biopsies are associated with significant morbidity and mortality. We are currently investigating contrast enhanced MRI as a potential diagnostic tool for chronic allograft rejection using a mouse model of renal transplant.
