Appointments and activities
The two focuses of Luke Devey's work are the role of immune cell populations in the pathogenesis, alleviation and resolution of hepatic ischemia reperfusion injury, and large-scale population studies of cadaveric organ donation. Mr Devey integrates his scientific studies with clinical work as a senior surgical trainee in the South East Scotland rotation.
To maximize the translational impact of his work, Mr Devey is to be trained in industrial experimental medicine as part of the highly competitive GlaxoSmithKline Esprit R&D programme (see link below)
